1. Could you introduce yourself and tell us about you? Your current / recent jobs and employers? Previous companies and jobs?
She’s currently working with XXXX, which is an automotive chip company, she manages all technical writings mostly for chip products, including user guide, instruction manuals, and also create contents for their digital marketing such as Linkedin, posts, articles, and others. In summary, she is in charge of all the technical documentations, promotional materials, translation of videos, for their automotive chip products; she’s a part of the in-house documentation team so she usually works with the company’s products and events. This is her first job after graduation, and she has a Master’s Degree in Chinese to English translation which is quite relevant to her job right now.
2. What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in?
Strongest skill would be expertise in making user documents more understandable and easier to read at by their target audience; she’s great in making promotional copies more appealing to regular users and customers as well. She uses tools like Doc As Code toolset for creating and writing the documents, including Git, markup languages, and sphinx; also uses Adobe tools mostly for editing images.
3. Do you have the lists of key criteria’s according to the clients’ requirements?
She has over 3 years of experience in the technical writing field and is knowledgeable already with the standards and compliance part. The main product she has worked on are mostly hardware chips for automotive and would be comfortable working on engineering-related, machine, and consumer products in general. In terms of the tools, she has used Adobe Suite tools such as Photoshop, After Effects, and Illustrator; also familiar with XML documentation and is willing to learn more about it on a professional level. She can also speak basic French and can easily pick it up if needed for the job.
