1. Could you introduce yourself and tell us about you? Your current / recent jobs and employers? Previous companies and jobs?
She has been doing technical writing for over 16 years now after she graduated with Master’s degree. Her first job and company was with XXXX as an Information Developer or Technical Writer where she has grown from a junior writer to a senior one that independently led technical writing projects including After her XXXX stint, she moved to XXXX and started as a Senior Technical Writer then gradually moved to Principal Technical Writer position where she was involved with projects related to building online documentation from scratch, API documentations, and different materials/documentation for their products (user guides, manuals, etc.) and their knowledge center as well.
2. What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in?
Strongest skill would be her domain knowledge in technical writing since she has been doing this for more than 15 years now; she’s now confident and comfortable working in this area. Also as a technical writer, one of her skills is her ability to learn new stuff and trends in the market since she have to be updated all the time to keep up with latest information.
3. Do you have the lists of key criteria’s according to the clients’ requirements?
She has more than 16 years of experience in technical writing and has done variety of materials such as online documentation, API documentation, some user guides/manuals as well for both of her previous roles. She’s familiar with some graphic design tools and has done XML documentation as well before; comfortable to work with engineering, machinery, or consumer-based products if given the chance. She prefers to work remotely from Beijing but has the flexibility to visit HK office few times a month.
