He then moved to XXXX as a Product Manager, where his day-to-day work involved designing payout flows, reconciliation logic, and disbursement APIs for merchants operating in China Market. Most recently, he has been working as a Senior Product Manager at XXXX, where he drives the strategy and roadmap for the company’s cross-border pay-in and payout infrastructure, leading a small team of product managers and working directly with engineering, compliance, and regional business teams to ship products with company-wide impact.

He has strong customer empathy as a core part of how he works, with experience shaping product direction. For example, he ran a series of merchant interviews that surfaced friction in a payout confirmation flow, which he then validated and resolved through an A/B test that measurably reduced support tickets tied to failed payouts.

He is skilled in building payment products in fintech, specifically pay-ins, payouts, and cross-border infrastructure. As a sample of his role and day-to-day work, at his current company he owns the end-to-end roadmap for a cross-border payout product used by merchants settling funds across Mainland China, and some in Hong Kong, which involves defining settlement and FX-conversion logic, working with banking and payment-method partners on integration requirements, and prioritizing the roadmap against compliance deadlines. He has direct experience building for and operating in APAC markets, and is familiar with local payment methods such as WeChat Pay, and UnionPay, as well as the regulatory environment of Mainland China. He worked on technical products where he regularly reviews API design and system architecture trade-offs directly with engineering.
