He has over 12 years of experience in the industry, including more than 3 years in gaming development. His educational background is rooted in media and research, with both bachelor’s and master’s degrees focused on film, television, and game studies. Before moving to China, he worked for several years in a Bank in the United States. Upon relocating, he took on roles in education, first as an academic writing instructor for students in XXXX, and later as a literature and film studies teacher. Eventually, he transitioned into the gaming industry to align more closely with his academic background and interests. Starting as a narrative designer at a smaller game studio, he wore multiple hats—handling everything from concept design to UI/UX design. That broad experience led to a role at XXXX, where he now works in a research and strategy capacity. His role initially involved more analytical tasks with a focus on investment-related areas but has since evolved into a high-level strategic position supporting XXXX’s overall game design goals.

He is often recognized for his strength in written communication, particularly in crafting reports and various types of business writing. He has developed strong skills in managing tasks and delivering clear, visually engaging presentations, especially when simplifying complex ideas for leadership to support decision-making. He effectively blends creativity with practicality—bridging artistic thinking with market and product understanding. This allows him to communicate well with both creative and business-oriented individuals. Additionally, he has a solid foundation in market research. - Do you have the lists of key criteria’s according to the clients’ requirements?
Since joining XXXX, he has been in research-oriented roles for about three years. Part of his job involves evaluating game prototypes and builds submitted by various XXXX studios and investee companies. With a strong background in mobile gaming, he helps assess market potential and provides in-depth feedback to improve game concepts—especially for Western and global markets. He also supports teams working on competitive multiplayer games, contributing targeted research while staying hands-on across different genres and projects. His approach remains multidisciplinary, shaped by both professional and personal gaming experience.
