Interview Assessment Notes
|
1. Could you introduce yourself and tell us about you? Your current/recent jobs and employers? Previous companies and jobs?
She is currently an IT Product Manager at a Chinese manufacturing company, where she primarily focuses on OMS (Order Management System) and planning systems. Her experience revolves around sales orders, sales forecasting, and product inventory and sales management (PSI). Her responsibilities include designing the Product Requirements Document (PRD) for the company, working with a development team to carry out the development, and ensuring successful project delivery. She oversees the entire process from beginning to end, coordinating with users, developers, and testers. Her day-to-day tasks involve maintaining the system for various products like televisions, refrigerators, and air conditioners, ensuring smooth operation from the creation of sales orders to delivery to customers.
2. What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in?
She describes her strongest skills as project management and communication. She emphasizes the importance of communication because her role requires interacting with many different individuals, each with unique roles and perspectives, making effective communication essential to the success of the projects.
3. Do you have XXXX (Key Criteria 1)? If so can you tell me more?
She is responsible for managing the entire product cycle, except for coding. Her main focus is gathering requirements from various departments within the company, particularly from the sales teams. She consolidates these requirements into a general solution that can meet the needs of different divisions, ensuring that the IT department can address everyone’s needs efficiently. One of her main challenges is designing solutions that can be applied universally across different companies while still addressing their specific requirements.
Once the Product Requirement Document (PRD) is completed, she ensures the solution meets the needs of the users and, once confirmed, sends it to the developers. She closely monitors the development process, regularly communicating with the team to address any issues or adjustments that arise. She provides detailed explanations to ensure that developers fully understand the requirements and resolves any concerns that may arise during development.
In addition to this, she also participates in the testing phase. She writes test cases and guides the users through them, identifying potential issues that they may not have considered. This collaborative approach ensures that all potential scenarios are tested. While she doesn't have direct experience with designing payment platforms, she has experience integrating external platforms such as UnionPay for B2B transactions and Alipay for B2C transactions into the system.
