- Could you introduce yourself and tell us about you? Your current/recent jobs and employers? Previous companies and jobs?
Currently working as a Network Engineer responsible for backend support and provisioning. With his current company, there are no frequent projects since they are providing backend support however he has done a project 3 years ago where they were using a commotional DWDM system and need to migrate to a new routing system. He added he has no knowledge of the Infinera equipment however he is well versed in Huawei and Ericsson network equipment.
- What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest and specialist in?
He specializes in transmission networks with layers 1 and 2 of the OSI and rates himself 4 out of 5. He understands the basic network equipment configuration and operation. however. He is knowledgeable in multiplexing, modulation, and amplifiers. He has hands-on experience in the DWDM network in layer 2 HUAWEI OSN Series equipment and network backbones such as OTN, DWDM bearers, and SDH bearers, troubleshooting and maintenance with the necessary communication between HUAWEI post-sale, tech support, and submarine cable organization.
He added he has no experience in IP network protocols such as BGP and OSPF as well as not dealing with the on-site installation of the fiber optics.
