His last role was with XXXX as a Senior QA Engineer where he was doing both manual and automation testing, but will say more focused on the manual side. He has been there for the last 4 years and his day-to-day includes ensuring the software quality through series of test planning, execution, and defect/bug management. Most of the projects he did in this company are e-commerce platforms, web and mobile applications, SaaS platforms, and ERP systems for engineering services. He is also responsible for creating detailed test plans and cases, reviewing project requirements, and also in charge with the execution of functional, regression, and exploratory tests. He was working closely before with their product/project managers, developers, and team of QA engineers; he was frequently in touch with stakeholders for requirements and reporting progress. When he was promoted as a Senior QA for the past year, he has also began mentoring junior testers, maintain test environments, and do cross-browser/cross-device testing. Lastly, he was involved there during the validation of final release, post-release monitoring, and enhancing testing practices. Before this, he was with XXXX as a Manual Test Engineer where he again was doing manual tests, reviewing product documentation, and identify/log any defects during testing with bug-tracking tools, they mainly used JIRA for that with their web and mobile applications. He started off as a Junior QA Tester for his internship in XXXX where he mostly acquired the fundamentals in software testing.
- What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in?
Strongest skill would be his core-testing skills and great knowledge of industry practice. He is proficient with test case designing and execution; writing detailed test cases based on functional specifications, user stories, or business requirements, and also executing it both scripted and exploratory. He is proficient with conducting functional and regression testing for various solutions. For the tools and technologies, he is strong with mix of manual and automation tools including Selenium, Python, Cypress, Postman for API integrations, and JMeter for performance testing.
