1. Could you introduce yourself and tell us about you? Your current / recent jobs and employers? Previous companies and jobs?
He has overall 5 years of experience in Data Science on how to apply Machine Learning on trading projects. He is currently a quantitative developer. His job is to utilize skills in Machine Learning and Data Science to develop the quantitative trading strategies. Previously he joined competitions and won awards. It was a competition on how to apply ML model in robot problem.
2. What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in?
He specializes in quantitative development problem, Machine Learning, Data Science, software development and how to apply AI into robot problem, such as Computer Vision and NLP. His biggest achievement is the DS competition in quantitative trading where he did the long-short Japanese equity strategy and won within the top 2% and in his previous company they designed an automated trading strategy which the performance was really good in the beta stage and he also worked in an equity project, it was a HK equity trading project. Would rate himself 5 out of 5 in Python and he works 99% of the time in python
3. Do you have ETL / data engineering experience?
He has experience in ETL, he used MySQL as the database and Python libraries such as NumPy and Pandas to pre-process the data. He has done a project in Python crawling for the HK news and after collecting data he used it to build an NLP model.
