He has 20+ years Working Experience in the Insurance IT fields, with profound interests in medical/Health insurance areas. He specializes in IT network infrastructure and IT operations his second job from X he looks after their PC Network 30 years ago. He also handles the procurement of their Hardware and Software installation, he also does IT auditing and IT training for the employees. He handles a small team during his time in Hong Kong Bank Insurance, he also started his own company he provides IT procurement policy to his client. He also handles a team that works for him, where they handle the issue for the client. He joined a new company called MediNet Holding Limited and when he joined the company, they don't have an IT team and he oversaw creating one. The company doesn't have any server at all, and they helped him create and set up 15 servers (Windows, Linux servers) before he left the company.
- What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest and specialist in?
On the application side he is proficient in Oracle Application, Java, and PHP. He also develops the website, and he uses PHP for the back-end job. He also Specializes in Network Infrastructure especially in TCP/IP, X.25, VPN, Hyper-V virtual machines and internet server like Web server (Apache/Nginx), DNS server (named), email Server (send mail), Application Server (glassfish), storage server (samba, NAS). He is also very knowledgeable in setting up servers for the offices in his previous jobs. He is also in charge of creating a disaster recovery plan just in case of any problem.
- He works as the IT Manager for X and works as a one-man band. He oversees the IT daily Operation, Network Infrastructure, Vendor Management, Management Cloud Application in AliYun. He also created a web-based Booking Development including system design, testing, project management and implementation.
4. He hasn’t used VMWare but has an idea on its functions. They use Hyper-V for their virtual machine set-up. He has been setting up SAN for Mason Supreme Healthcare Group. He has been setting up various SAN various products in his previous jobs. He also has experience in setting up Cisco firewall. |
