He currently works as Manager, IT Service Desk & Procurement for X and they support 200 company users, and they also support around 40-50 team in Macau. He is also in charge of the budget for the IT team, he is also required to support ad-hoc project. They provide media solution support for 16 users in the company. He has 20+ years in-house IT is working experience and have 10+ years experienced in IT Management to manage the projects within Information Systems, Telecommunications, and Security Implementation. He also provides Microsoft user support. He also manages to deploy ManageEngine Desktop Central and RFID tag inventory solution to improve deskside support capabilities, and IT inventory management.
- What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest and specialist in?
He is very strong in MS Windows Server. He can also present some very complex IT issues to the administration in a simple form, he also has experience working as a Project Manager. He spends a lot of time in planning, he doesn't have any hands-on experience in setting the server. He is also has a strong MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), MS Visio, Symantec (Backup Exec, System Recovery, Ghost), VEEAM Backup and Replication 7, VMware vSphere 5.5.
- Has a strong knowledge in navigating or using VMWare as he helps in supporting in helping deploy VDI solution (VMware Horizon) for pilot users. He is also very comfortable in using and as a strong knowledge in using MS Windows Server (NT - 2012), Linux Fedora(9, 20).
- He also has an experience in setting up/upgrading firewall set ups. He has managed to upgrade firewall from Netscreen 5GT to Fortigate 100D. He also has a strong knowledge in setting up Cisco devices and has managed to upgrade VPN solution from Cisco ASA IPSEC VPN to Pulse Secure SSLVPN to improve the user access capabilities in out of office area. He has also managed to upgrade Cisco AP from 1300 series to 3700 series, and implement POE switch to improve user Internet access experience at R&D Tower.
5. Has experience in using Bloomberg. As they watch the status of the stock market and try to deploy important financial data for the CEO. |
