He is definetly a team leader since he has managed team before and still currently handling a team. With over 16 years of experience in all facets of IT Infrastructure and Operations. Expertise in IT Infrastructure Support, IT Command Centre, Data Centre, Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity, ITIL Service Management and Project Management. Works as IT Operations Manager for CLP which is an electric company and manages 19 people in his team, he works on the IT Command Centre, and they help work on the IT System and Performance and other abnormal IT problems and they are also responsible for the infra support and his team handles 2nd level network troubleshooting. He also takes cares of the other data centre in HK which runs 24/7 and other IT management functions.
- What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest and specialist in?
Strengths include developing talent, project management, cost management, strategy, standardization, vendor relationships, contract negotiations, capacity planning, data centre architecture and design and migration, business continuity program. He has good experience with people management and is managing 18-19 people and with Cathay Pacific he has managed 50 people. His responsibilities with the companies he worked with is quite broad. Has good IT Infrastructure management skill, he knows how to manage different types of IT teams. He has never managed application team. Has multiple IT certifications as well, he is knowledgeable in Data Operations as well.
- He has extensive experience in setting up and maintaining Service Desk Support experience in working for service desk for Cathay Pacific for 1-2 years. He didn't specifically manage the End-User Support and he manages team that are in different offices.
- During his time in XXXXX, he was responsible for multiple IT operations functions include data centre operations, disaster recovery, business continuity, configuration management., procurement, non-production environment management, vendor management, and maintenance budget.
