1. Could you introduce yourself and tell us about you? Your current / recent jobs and employers? Previous companies and jobs?
   He’s a French national and he’s been living in Hong Kong for 19 years with an interruption. More than half of his career he spent in restaurant and hotel management. He worked in restaurants in France then moved to US to work for hotels then moved to HK and continued working in restaurants as restaurant manager, FNB managers, and FMB director for hotels. He had a gig as well for a year in the middle east in Qatar and Dubai. Last 2016, he moved back to HK to set up his own company called XXXX, where it’s doing third party restaurant reservations originally and today it has expanded to also selling experiences and marketing services as well. He is now attached to XXXX as a consultant to start with as permanent employee. After that, he’s assigned to be a general manager of hospitality position. He has two roles now in his current company. His current company specializes in food and beverage technology solutions and software solutions. Their core products are QR ordering, kiosk ordering, payment, loyalty solutions, and also POS system solutions and integration systems as well. His responsibility for the past five years in as a general manager is to develop the business on the hotel segment. Wherever they are in the world, so that includes business development, product development, and some marketing. Then for the past year, starting from early this year, 2024, he also took on the role of senior marketing manager, where he’s looking after the entire marketing for the company across all of the regions where they have business.
2. What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in?
   He specializes in operational experience in restaurants and hotels. He’s an all-rounded person, where he can handle the P&L, teams that has up to 400 people under him. That covers also the HR, some team management, finance, marketing, strategy, and some operations. He has gone through also setting up his own business that still exist today. He created a company by himself in Hong Kong. He’s done bootstrapping alone for 3 years. He’s also an expert in looking for investors and he believes that trying to find funding is part of his skills. In XXXX, his experience is a lot of learning involved like how a tech startup functions, how to sell solutions to B2B across different segments, dealing with enterprise clients. It can also be dealing with just smaller and independent clients. He has experience in working with various teams like marketing, sales, product teams to make sure they are developing the best product that are fitting the best at that point of time in the market launching and executing marketing strategies. He is exposed to a lot of different areas in the business until now.
