1. Could you introduce yourself and tell us about you? Your current / recent jobs and employers? Previous companies and jobs?
She finished her studies in Information Technology and after that started to work with XXXX as a Senior Technical Editor where she primarily worked with open source technologies and after that, started her career with technical writing across multiple organizations including XXXX, XXXX, and also was a Process Manager – Onsite Documentation Specialist at XXXX where she provided documentation support for their onsite projects including SOPs, Process maps, user manuals, and facilitator’s guide for different tools. Her last role in India was an Associate Manager for Knowledge Management with XXXX where she worked with Scrum teams and Product Owners in sprints of Agile environment, attended walkthroughs and demos as well to fully understand feature and documentation requirements; she was working on their Salesforce platform and online retail segment as well basically on consumer goods and services. She was previously with XXXX in Hong Kong as a Contract Technical Writer where she reorganized and revamped their existing contents and had to streamline a document on settlement processes. She is currently doing a contractual role with XXXX as a Technical Writer; she has worked across multiple types of documents and domains spanning from finance, online retails, digital analytics, investment banking, and others, mostly on SOPs, process maps, release notes, contract notes, online helps, and different tools as well such as Word, MadCap Flare, FrameMaker, and Visio for process maps as well as editing tools including Paint and Adobe.
2. What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in?
Strongest skill would be editing and writing in terms of documentation. On top of that, she is very adaptable to changing environments, across different culture and teams, as well as her flexibility to work in different domains and countries either as part of a team or an individual.
3. Do you have the lists of key criteria’s according to the clients’ requirements?
She has almost 15 years of experience now with Technical Writing and has great exposure to technical documentation, standards, and directives. She is knowledge with Adobe Suite tools especially FrameMaker and also uses MadCap Flare as her main tool; also knowledgeable with InDesign and Illustrator. Willing to learn XML documentation as well if given the chance; she can also leverage her good reading and writing skills in French for this role.
