At XXX Partners he is currently working as a Python and C# developer, currently he is working in an investment cooperation team. Main duties are to handle automations and doing reconciliations, reporting and ETL.
He has been handling three more clients from before, such as joining the data analytics team and mainly using Python and MS SQL Server. They have been building the data analytics platform and transforming twenty of the main regulations into electronic format. After receiving the data they perform regulation checks, some using machine learning based and he has implemented seven of them.
Another client, two of them, worked on using Java as their main technology. These projects involve reporting and data reconciliation, quite similar to his other project.
He has most experience with Python as he has been using it for around 7 years, Java for around 2 years and general SQL language and databases as well.
He has worked around data science and analytics for around 4 to 5 years, during his first job after graduation he has worked as a data analytics engineer and involved in back data projects. One of them was working for a jewelry company with their recommendation engine. He has developed some pricing models for those jewelries and demand production.
Another project is working for a hedge fund called cash algo, where he built some strategy and financial models for them to make use of portfolio theory and customized metrics for them. During building the model they applied some mathematics and optimizations. Also applied machine learning to their stocks.
For an investment group part of his research job was to use financial tools like classification tools to do stock selections, pattern recognition. In XXX, partners currently around forty percent of his time is focusing on data analytics such as building its platforms and custom algorithms for them.
To share some accomplishments he has built an airflow job scheduler for a company on his own and he has held knowledge training sessions about quantitative finance for internal training at XXX partners. He also thinks all his projects are his achievements.
