- Could you introduce yourself and tell us about you? Your current / recent jobs and employers? Previous companies and jobs?
She’s been living in Hong Kong 20 years. She studied in Hong Kong for a few years only because she’s been back and forth in America. She’s half Filipino and half American. She’s staying in Hong Kong with work experience for 10 years. She’s a single mother and she’s a permanent HK resident. She started her career as a customer service for the first five years. It’s also mostly sales at the time so she has been meeting quota that she has to reach. They are an e-commerce brand that’s selling stuff on those previous work that she had done. During the pandemic, she’s gotten into a work environment in a blockchain, where she was supposed to be a customer specialist not a support specialist. She was put in a different department most of the time, they were trained for it as well with the proper training and certification. It was a startup team when she was in that company and unfortunately, flunked down a few years ago and about 130 of them got laid off. In terms of moving forward in her career, she found XXXX, a Singaporean company. They are a SaaS company, where it’s a software that she must handle their accounts and also with integrations. So, she really had to learn how to present documentations and APIs and train staff to onboard, as well as having them to do a lot of sales prospecting for possible leads locally. She handled a few major accounts on that company like big groups, but they’re more on the food and beverage industry. However, that one is also just a remote work that they had to pull out the project. Lately, it’s been a setback for her, and since she has only been working as an ecommerce management section, whereas she does sales and marketing most of the time and they’re more on the local industries here, like small companies. She’s really leaning into basically technical and SaaS projects or anything that’s relating to her workflow. She enjoyed working on the technical side and she feels like that’s more of her passion rather than selling products like clothing. Right now, she’s just been doing freelancing for a bunch of clients from London.
- What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in?
She specializes and has knowledge in customer service handling. She’s done every part of customer services, where she has experience in face to face, internal like phone, email, and chat. For business development and sales, she has experience in networking online and offline. She enjoys meeting new people and building relationships with new customers because it’s like an achievement for her as well like having to build that trust and professionalism with them. In terms of handling their accounts in a professional manner, it’s something that she finds very beneficial and an achievement for her. She also has CRM tools like Zendesk, Salesforce, Zoho, and Apollo.
