1. Could you introduce yourself and tell us about you? Your current / recent jobs and employers? Previous companies and jobs?
He got his Electrical Engineering degree in the US, worked for a year in XXXX doing some chip testing and went back for a Computer Science degree in the same university. After that, he did about 10 years of projects, software and solutions implementations and then way back 2007, he moved to Hong Kong and started his sales career. He started there in helping build an office for two companies, XXXX and XXXX, he helped setup the regional offices for APAC in Hong Kong and had great understanding of major markets including Greater China, India, South Asia, Southeast Asia, Australia, New Zealand, and Japan. He also had to take up on multiple roles such as sales, presales, customer success, and basically making sure their customers are happy. After some time, he joined XXXX as the VP of Revenue but then Covid hit so he had to do independent coaching. After pandemic, he landed a job with XXXX as the Director of Sales Enablement where he essentially onboarded every single person that’s directly or indirectly related to sales, including our customer success manager, renewals reps, territory managers, BDMs, and such. He has been involved in talking to customers one-on-one, negotiating and resolving their issues, as well as sell them the right solutions.
2. What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in?
Strongest skill would be dealing with customers since he has been doing this for the past 20 years, he had great experience sitting with customers and getting their pain points, negotiate complex deals, did some post-sales, and delve into customer success as well so he understands what support tickets their customers have, get reference or testimonial from them, and making sure they’re reminded about upcoming features and releases.
3. Do you have the lists of key criteria’s according to the clients’ requirements?
He has 15-20 years of experience being a customer-facing candidate, mostly doing sales, presales/post sales, and customer success function as well. Most of his roles previously are SaaS focused, he has great experience in software implementations and everything he has dealt with, sold, and maintained lately has been SaaS; in his last one, he they have over 800 SaaS applications so he has touched lots of solutions/products for different domains. He also is coming from a strong engineering background so would be interested to explore the energy industry.
