After his graduation, he went to the X to complete his master’s in resource Management and then moved to Canada into the e-Commerce industry and worked for 2 companies during his time there. And he moved back to Hong Kong due to 9/11. He has 26 years of solid technical experience locally in all phases of software development and all areas of project management, and has have successfully delivered many major, sizable projects in a technical and managerial level in the industries of banking & finance, insurance, telecom, aviation, software solution services, and e-business/e-Commerce/e-CRM. With high enthusiasm in IT, he has been contributing to many vital areas with advanced/innovative IT.
- What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest and specialist in?
Besides, effective communication skills, proficiency in English/Chinese, and powerful analytical, problem-solving ability are also among my attributes. Has worked for multiple HKSAR government projects: including Housing Authority (Internet/Intranet) in 02, Transportation in 07, ISD (World Expo/East Asian Games) in 09-10, DH (Communicable Disease) in 12-13, & Lands/Planning/OGCIO (CSDI/Smart City/Big Data) in 17-18.
- He has experience with JOS way back to 2008. In fact, he has extensive experience in industries like Banking/Finance and Government. He has less tendency to change to Retail/POS area.
- He is still providing application support, but his primary role has been in new project development with M&S being very minor role when operations must escalate an issue to him for an ultimate solution only, if not daily support.
- He has developed X for a year as the 1st generation of it from requirements collection to solution architecture and system design, following implementation and QA. Many other projects were developed in full SDLC.
6. He has worked in Software Development & Project Management in the areas of Micro-services, Big Data, Cloud/IOT, Mobile Web/App with Payment Gateway, Retail/POS, Risks Management. He has also implemented and coached teams in Agile and Prince 2 practices using many related frameworks. |
