He has been working in the IT industry for 12 years and has been working in various roles such as Software Quality Assurance Engineer, Technical Planning, Infrastructure Support, IT Manager etc. In his current job he manages and supports full-stack infrastructure components and user-end applications to support the brokerage and asset management business. He was involved in a lot of projects like E-Banking rollout, server evergreening, datacentre migrations...etc.
- What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest and specialist in?
His skills are more focused on infrastructure side, he has mainly worked on the infrastructure side. He has set up servers and server monitoring, server migration, firewall configuration, network security, and recently in his current job he is collaborating with the front desk to bring financial information system. He also works with retail clients (interactive brokers). He is also certified by Bloomberg.
- He has experience with VMWare. He used it a lot when working with HSBC and he has utilized it to deploy and support VMs, and perform VM backup/migration/failover etc. In his current role he oversees both Windows and Linux servers and does the internal system screening.
- They use Office 365 for their major office automation tool. They are using every day and they're email system is with O365 and they are also using the other tools provided in O365 (compliance, security) to make sure that they have stable and secured environment.
5. He has worked on setting up various storage types like SAN, NAS, DAS (tape backup). In his current role he uses NAS to help their data secured and synchronized. He is also supporting and installing various Cisco products (switch, router, firewall). He also has experience in using Bloomberg terminals and he has Bloomberg Technical Training Certificate which was issued by Bloomberg itself. |
