Currently working as a NOC engineer proactively monitoring the network with multiple vendor equipment such as Infinera, Ciena, Ericsson, and Alcatel. Responsible for managing submarine cables, repeater interrogation weekly or monthly basis to health checks the repeaters performance.
- What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest and specialist in?
He specializes in fault timing, provisioning, migration, restoration and troubleshooting during the cable faults, and optimize the bandwidth to minimize the costing of the network. He also specializes in installing, commissioning and NOC and rates himself 5 out of 5 for troubleshooting, 4.5 out of 5 for commissioning and NOC.
He has hands-on experience in basic configuration of the DWDM network equipment as well as solid experience of the on-site installation of fiber optics cable. He knows all the fault levels and the functions. He added that he has no knowledge in the IP network.
