Interview Assessment Notes
|
1. Could you introduce yourself and tell us about you? Your current/recent jobs and employers? Previous companies and jobs?
He graduated and completed his postgraduation in Mumbai, India, starting his career in 2001. The initial eight years were spent in banking, where he worked with various Indian banks in departments like retail banking and trade finance. Afterward, he transitioned into IT, spending the first two years focused on manual and automation testing. He then moved into a business analyst role, where he continued to build his experience.
His most relevant experience comes from working in production support. In this role, he was part of the L3 support team, handling escalated issues from L1 and L2 teams. When production users reported issues through ServiceNow (referred to as SNOW), his team would investigate, replicate, and resolve the problems. If a solution was not immediately apparent, they would work directly with users, troubleshoot, and identify the root cause. Issues were logged into JIRA, marked as production defects, and assigned to the development team. He was responsible for following up on the resolution, keeping the users informed, and providing a root cause analysis to prevent future occurrences.
2. What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in?
He would describe his strongest skills as being in service management practices, particularly in areas like business analysis, change enablement, incident management, and IT asset management, all of which fall under the ITIL framework. Additionally, he is highly skilled in using reporting tools such as Tableau and Power BI, along with SQL queries for data manipulation and analysis.
His technical expertise extends to experience with token-based systems for secure application access, having worked with hard tokens in previous roles. He has a deep understanding of using these tools for logging into applications securely, which has been essential for his roles in both the banking and IT sectors.
3. Do you have XXXX (Key Criteria 1)? If so can you tell me more?
He has experience using reporting tools like Tableau and Power BI and is familiar with SQL queries and Microsoft Office. Within ITIL practices, his focus has been primarily on service management, particularly in areas such as business analysis, change enablement, incident management, and IT asset management.
He has hands-on experience with token-based systems, which were used to log into applications. In his previous roles at companies such as JP and Larsen & Toubro Infotech, he worked with hard tokens, which functioned like a car remote to generate a password for secure application access. This process was essential for ensuring secure authentication and managing user access
