1. Could you introduce yourself and tell us about you? Your current/recent jobs and employers? Previous companies and jobs?
He began his professional career in 2014 as a resident engineer. After gaining two years of experience, he earned his CCNA certification and was promoted to team lead in the telecommunications industry. After nearly two and a half years in telecommunications, he transitioned to the banking sector, where he spent about two years working with highly secure networks and efficient devices.
Next, he moved to a newly established university in Pakistan, where he was responsible for setting up the entire network, including servers, access points, and Active Directory. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he provided remote support to students and teachers, ensuring smooth virtual learning experiences.
In 2021, he moved to Japan, where he began working as an English teacher. While teaching, he freelanced as a desktop engineer, working one to two days a week. After completing his teaching contract, he transitioned to full-time freelance work. He provided network and desktop support for major IT companies and several local businesses, offering L1 and L2 support, remote technical assistance for configuration and operation, and firmware updates for switches.
In the past six months, he led a project to establish an Oracle-based data center in a clinic, overseeing tasks like cable laying, team management, labeling, patching, and installation. Currently, he continues to work as a freelancer.
2. What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in?
He specializes in desktop support, with extensive experience troubleshooting and providing technical assistance for hardware and software issues. He is skilled in providing both in-person and remote support for users, ensuring their systems run smoothly. His expertise includes L1 and L2 support, configuration, system maintenance, and working with various operating systems and IT infrastructure components. He has worked with multiple companies, resolving technical problems efficiently and ensuring high levels of user satisfaction.
3. Do you have XXXX (Key Criteria 1)? If so can you tell me more?
He has experience with service desk software such as ServiceNow and JIRA. While both are similar in many ways, he has worked more extensively with ServiceNow and JIRA, providing support and handling various IT-related tasks. He also plans to pursue certifications in these tools when he has more time.
Additionally, he has experience with token-based secure ID processes, particularly using hardware tokens for secure user authentication. During his time working at Honeywell, he helped manage user access and authentication through secure tokens. These hardware tokens generated OTPs for secure login to various systems, including email and Windows logins.
While his work experience has been mainly in an English-speaking environment in Japan, his Japanese listening skills are strong. However, he sometimes uses translation tools to assist with speaking, ensuring clear communication when needed.
