1. Could you introduce yourself and tell us about you? Your current / recent jobs and employers? Previous companies and jobs?
He has been living in Japan for the past 10 years but started his career in the Philippines as a Game Developer. After studying the Japanese language, he landed a job with XXXX as a System Administrator where he worked more on the infrastructure side of things, office works, and help desk function as well. After that, he moved to a different city in Japan but for the same company, where he served as an IT Project Manager where he handled infrastructure projects as well such as Wi-Fi upgrades, cabling, switches, and basically the whole backbone infrastructure of the whole hotel he worked during that time. He also had couple of other projects from different hotels, where they had to build all servers from scratch, deploy PCs, and he was doing project management and project engineering function at that time. He also had a short time with XXXX as an IT Solution Engineer and then moved to XXXX as a Technology Project Manager where he really has improved his project management skills and Japanese communication skills since he had to communicate with local vendors, local clients, and was doing a mix of projects related to structured cabling, interior design projects, and also handled/managed AV systems such as audio/visual rooms, Zoom, and teleconferencing systems as well. He is currently working with XXXX as an IT Engineer where he’s back to doing technical stuff again such as monitoring/managing local servers onsite based on company policies but he’s kind of missing doing project management function so he is testing the waters in the market to see if there are opportunities that will fit him.
2. What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in?
Strongest skill would be a mixture of project management and technical system administration since these two are what he has been doing mainly for the past 10 years. He also is good with managing internal projects while at the same time, good with technical stuff such as building servers and stuff. Industry wise, he has been into the hospitality side but mostly on tech companies.
3. Do you have the lists of key criteria’s according to the clients’ requirements?
He has about 4 years of accumulated experience in technical/technology project management. During his time as a project management, he has mostly handled IT infrastructure projects, servers, hardware/software and network problems, and has managed AV-related projects as well especially during XXXX. He also have experience with electronic security systems, although he’s not the one directly managing it, but he frequently checks with the security manager and helps him with IP addresses for cameras, navigation, and all. He has fluent level Japanese and was able to practice it a lot during his previous company since he was responsible to communicating with local vendors and clients in the local language so he’s pretty confident and comfortable using it in a business setting.
