Currently working as a Senior Engineer in charge for the transmission handles layer 1-3, DWDM, SDH, layer 2 basis and switches, presales, and post sales. He is also part of the justification team for costing structure for the day to day roll out, managed the vendors that they purchased equipment from Huawei, Ciena, Infinera, Adva and recently engaged with Cisco. He also managed project management for the whole roll-out to measure that the whole project was roll out efficiently.
- What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest and specialist in?
He specializes in consulting dealing and handling both technical and vendors, consulting, and rates himself 4.2 out of 5. Has hands-on experience in the DWDM network device configuration. His expertise belongs to the layer 1 and layer 2 of the network. He has hands-on experience in an on-site installation of fiber optics especially in a new site.
He has less experience with the OSPF and BGP IP protocol where he previously setup a 4G backhole however he is familiar with the IS protocol. He added that he has certain knowledge with the Roman amplifier since the DWDM network involves a lot of this type of amplifier. The most recent project he handled was the google project for the submarine cables, a 10G / 100G backup from the submarine up to the certain data centers completed last year. Another project was a layer 2 network building a low latency network throughout Singapore. He added that he does not provide support and will just escalate the issue to the operation team.
