1. Could you introduce yourself and tell us about you? Your current / recent jobs and employers? Previous companies and jobs?
She is originally from Japan and is currently based in Netherlands; most of her experience has been in Japan, Australia, Malaysia, and UK in multilingual environments. She has been in the freelancing space since 2022 mainly providing translation services such as translation of business presentation, inside articles, and marketing materials; also provide marketing services and acts as project lead, project coordinator for some clients. She mostly works with non-Japanese companies that wants to market their product or services in Japan. Before she became a freelancer, she was with XXXX as a Project Lead and also served as a Marketing Specialist essentially driving business analysis, operating strategies, and provided insights to run partner networks; during that time there, she also did lead generation type of projects. She started off with a company in Japan as a Distribution and Sales Assistant where she mostly handled sheet music and musical instruments, imported products from the US to sell to exclusive Japanese agents.
2. What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in?
Strongest skill would be her strong marketing background especially in B2B technology companies. On top of that, she has good understanding of Japanese companies, markets, and businesses, and has great ability of helping non-Japanese companies to understand Japanese market, culture better. She’s also bilingual in Japanese and English so she thinks it’s another strength she can bring to the table.
