Interview Assessment Notes
|
1. Could you introduce yourself and tell us about you? Your current/recent jobs and employers? Previous companies and jobs?
She has extensive work experience across Japan, Australia, Malaysia, and the UK, primarily in multilingual environments, often acting as a cultural and language liaison between Japanese and English-speaking clients. Since 2022, she has been working as a freelancer, mainly providing translation services, including article translations, project coordination, business presentations, and marketing materials. Additionally, she offers marketing services and project management support, particularly for non-Japanese companies looking to launch their products or services in Japan. Many of these companies lack Japanese resources, so they hire her to facilitate their market entry until they establish a local presence.
Before becoming a freelancer, she spent five years at B Channels, a channel marketing agency that has since merged with another company. B Channels specializes in working with the world’s top 20 technology companies, giving her a strong background in IT marketing and business development. Her role as a Marketing Specialist involved conducting business analysis, operating strategies, and partner marketing support. One of her key responsibilities was managing Microsoft’s partner marketing initiatives, and assisting top-tier partners in utilizing Microsoft funds for lead generation projects and other marketing activities.
While her background is deeply rooted in B2B marketing and IT industries, her freelance work has expanded into various sectors, making her adaptable and open to working with diverse industries. However, her expertise remains strongest in technology, IT marketing, and partner engagement strategies.
2. What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in?
She specializes in B2B marketing, channel marketing, and partner engagement strategies, particularly within the IT and technology industries. Her strongest skills include business analysis, operating strategies, and project coordination, which she developed during her five years at B Channels, working with top-tier technology companies like Microsoft.
Additionally, she excels in multilingual communication, acting as a cultural and language liaison between Japanese and English-speaking clients. As a freelancer, she has expanded her expertise to translation services, market entry strategies, and marketing content creation. Her ability to help non-Japanese companies successfully enter the Japanese market by providing localized marketing solutions is one of her key strengths.
