Could you introduce yourself and tell us about you? Your current / recent jobs and employers? Previous companies and jobs?
He’s been working for 6 years and 8 months under the telco industries and worked in XXX and XXX . He works at XXX for 5 years and in XXX for almost 2 years. In his previous company, he’s an optical engineer under the project team particularly in XXX Account which is the top telco provider in the Philippines and provides a great service nationwide. Since it is a very big client, they are the one who implemented the project and handle it from start to finish. From surveying of the site involved in the project up to testing and acceptance. In between that span, they also do the implementation and the mobilization of the people or the contractors for installation on every site to monitor and the configuring of the equipment or if there’s a problem when it comes to troubleshooting in the Huawei devices. The technology he was handling is for the transmission site of DWDM, OTN, and SDH mainly for the backbone of the telco industry. In radius, he’s currently in planning and engineering and they are more in the client side now so mostly they interact with the clients. In the planning and engineering they are more focus on creating the topology or the network architecture that will be presenting to the customers/clients by the sales dept as well as the procurement or the checking of the materials planning to implement in the project.
-
What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in?
He has an experienced when it comes to remote systems because in Huawei, they are also responsible for everything that revolves around the technology when it comes to NOC or remote NMS. He is strongest when it comes to troubleshooting and rates himself 5 out of 5 and has an experience to it all throughout the years. 5 out of 5 because he’s more on troubleshooting.
-
Do you have the lists of key criteria's according to the clients requirements?
He has an experience when it comes to DWDM and he also have an experiences or background facing customers, clients, vendors, or even the contractors because he is the one who handled or manages the schedules so that he can track the activities they did for the project. He has an experience using NOC because in XXX the remote networks are located on their office, so he has no choice but to go there for him to support those people on-site remotely. He has an experience when it comes to on-site installation, but not the actual installation. He helps the people behind it because he is the one who oversee the contractor’s job on-site and sometimes, their clients want to monitor their contractors who handles the actual installation on-site, so he has quite knowledge when it comes to it. When it comes to his current level of knowledge in troubleshooting, he's in level 2 but now, he is also taking courses for Cisco and planning to get certifications in CCNA and CCNP by this year.
