- Could you introduce yourself and tell us about you? Your current / recent jobs and employers? Previous companies and jobs?
He is working with X and working on the retail technology in the APAC region and his job is to take care of the technology issues and they help fix it and does the support for the last two years and he is managing 3 staff in Shanghai and has contractors taking care of the hardware and before X he worked with X and does the software application vendor ship and he is looking for the data centres in Singapore and across the region and his responsibility was more global. He lived in the Singapore for the last years, and he is a Singapore and has a family of 3 kids and they all live in Singapore, he loves working with people and with technology especially in retail.
- What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest and specialist in?
He is good in IT service management part and starting a team from scratch and he is used to do that, and he is comfortable in leading a team and he is also versatile, and he has worked with many vendors across APAC, and he is also ITIL certified. He is also good in managing people and he is also exposed with different cultures and different styles of working. He is also PMP certified and considers it as a side skill since he uses it on some project he handled before.
- He has not managed database himself, but he helps in connecting the dots for the database engineers and helps the software engineers in managing the process.
- He was part of the cloud migration project with X and by the time he left they were able to build a strong cloud support for the company. He is also doing the product support just in case some issues come up for the account. He has a good experience with AWS Cloud and Google cloud.
5. He has used Jira today with X and some teams are using Jira and it is more on coding and most of the software corrections they use Jira for that. They use Confluence as part of the Atlassian software and some teams can use old platform as long as the data are going in the right way |
