1. Could you introduce yourself and tell us about you? Your current/recent jobs and employers? Previous companies and jobs?
Currently working as a Network Engineer responsible for the operation role of the DWDM infrastructure, daily tasks involve preventive maintenance of the equipment, vendor management, and planning for upgrading capacity. Planning preventive maintenance on the network infrastructure and ensuring risks are mitigated during maintenance.
2. What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest and specialist in?
He has a vendor certification from ADVA and Infinera. He specializes in optical networks, DWDM equipment, fiber optics cable, and, subsea cable, and rates himself 4 out of 5. He has hands-on experience in DWDM equipment and fiber optics cable including planning, installation, and commissioning DWDM system performance, testing of DWDM systems, troubleshooting customer DWDM systems remotely or on-site, and fiber optics characterization testing such as OTDR, OLTS, CD, and PMD. He has strong experience working in installation and maintenance of the DWDM equipment as well.
He has solid experience in AC/DC power systems, network validation testing, fiber characterization, fiber management, and structured cable management. His successful projects in DWDM networks include the deployment of optical transmission equipment over submarine cable and 100G transmission open solution aggregated and disaggregated Architecture.
