He began his career in the insurance industry, spending 13 and a half years working his way up to become a Group Director, one of the youngest in Singapore's history. He managed multiple generations of insurance professionals. In late 2016, he made a significant shift by leaving insurance to join an XXXX start up. He's experimented with different business ideas, consulted on HR projects and sales training, and worked with government-approved vendors on HR projects for SMEs. He also spent some time working on data governance and professional services for a US data services company, handling business development in Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand and Philippines.
2. What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in?
He believes his success lies in 3 key areas. First, he excels at building trust and rapport, allowing people to feel comfortable sharing confidential information. This is likely due to his strong ability to maintain confidentiality. Second, he's a highly attentive listener, adept at pinpointing the core issues and desires expressed by potential clients. He can even uncover underlying needs they might not be fully aware of themselves. Lastly, his systematic approach allows him to structure the sales process efficiently.
