1. Could you introduce yourself and tell us about you? Your current/recent jobs and employers? Previous companies and jobs?
Currently working as a Senior DevOps Engineer on a contract role with 8 years of experience in DevOps. He manages the credit risk applications involved in UAT, pre-production, and managing control-m backend jobs. His daily task is to build and deploy library code to the UAT environment and perform testing and create scripts using Shell and terraform to create infrastructure.
Previously worked as a Senior Site Engineer dealing with customer data management spring boot-based application and in charge of the certificate renewal process to get their application certified.
2. What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest and specialist in?
He specializes in docker, Kubernetes, and java and rates himself 4 out of 5. He has hands-on experience in scripting languages Shell for Unix and Powershell for Windows environments, however, he has just basic knowledge in Python. He is also comfortable working in both Windows and Linux environments. He has hands-on experience with Ansible, Git, Jenkins, and CI tools. The apps are deployed in Kubernetes; thus, he uses Kubernetes for the orchestration tool and controlling the clusters, Jenkins for the CICD tools used for configuration and integration, Git for source code management and repository, and Docker for building docker containerization files. He has experience in spring-based application deployment and troubleshooting, as well as finding and fixing bugs in code in development, testing, and production environments.
