Interview Assessment Notes
|
1. Could you introduce yourself and tell us about you? Your current/recent jobs and employers? Previous companies and jobs?
He has three years of IT experience with a strong focus on management and process improvement. In his previous role at XXXX, Thailand, he led a team of over 20 people across Southeast Asia, overseeing IT operations and delivering advanced solutions to enhance efficiency. He was responsible for generating detailed reports for regional stakeholders to align IT and business strategies. Additionally, he developed custom tools and automated workflows to significantly improve team productivity and streamline processes.
He enjoys combining technical expertise with leadership to drive meaningful results. Currently, he is looking for a remote job due to personal reasons. His day-to-day responsibilities involved managing change requests from stakeholders, such as system updates, and attending meetings with C-level executives to provide project updates. He began his career as an IT helpdesk staff and was promoted after nine months to the role of Regional IT Engineer, where he led the team.
2. What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in?
His strongest skills lie in IT management, team leadership, and process improvement. With over three years of experience in the IT field, he has honed his ability to manage IT operations and lead teams effectively. He specializes in managing service desk operations, leveraging tools like ServiceNow to streamline processes and enhance service delivery. His experience in customizing and developing internal tools within ServiceNow highlights his ability to adapt systems to meet the unique needs of the organization.
In addition, he has strong expertise in user access management and security, particularly in implementing multi-factor authentication (MFA) systems like Secure ID and transitioning to Microsoft MFA. This demonstrates his proficiency in ensuring secure IT environments and managing user access effectively.
3. Do you have XXXX (Key Criteria 1)? If so can you tell me more?
In his role as an IT engineer, he was responsible for a variety of administrative tasks, including resetting user accounts and managing internal systems. These tasks were critical to ensuring smooth IT operations within the organization. One of his key responsibilities was managing and optimizing the workflow within the IT team, ensuring that issues were addressed promptly and efficiently.
He has hands-on experience with several service desk software, including ServiceNow, which was utilized in his previous position. He worked closely with the platform, leveraging its features to streamline processes, improve issue resolution times, and ensure that all service requests were tracked and managed properly. In addition, he contributed to the development and customization of internal ServiceNow pages to better align with the organization's unique needs.
In terms of security and user access, he has worked with multi-factor authentication (MFA) tools such as Secure ID. This system was used to enhance the security of employee accounts by requiring additional verification for login. However, as the company evolved, it transitioned to Microsoft MFA, which offered similar functionality but was more seamlessly integrated into the existing Microsoft ecosystem.
Although he has not pursued formal ITIL certification, he did undergo training as part of his company's professional development program. The course was offered to him because, as a team leader, it was important for him to understand ITIL practices and frameworks. While he did not complete the certification exam, he gained valuable knowledge from the training, which has proven useful in managing his IT team effectively. He acknowledges that ITIL practices, such as incident management, service delivery, and change management, are essential in optimizing IT operations, and he integrates these practices into his daily management style.
