Interview Assessment Notes
|
1. Could you introduce yourself and tell us about you? Your current/recent jobs and employers? Previous companies and jobs?
He started his career as an intern at Huawei in Jordan, then moved to the UAE where he joined a startup called Verofax. He also worked as a freelance mobile app developer for two years, primarily remotely. After that, he joined Verofax as a software engineer. Initially, his role was focused on revamping an outdated platform, where he introduced Material Design and made it more modern, responsive, and mobile-friendly using Angular for the platform and Flutter for the mobile app.
He then ventured into the AI world, where his first project involved using a solution for PADWISOR, a sponsor for the FIFA World Cup, to scan bottles using model detection technology. This marked the beginning of his transition into product ownership, where he managed the whole project, coordinating between the client, technical team, and stakeholders.
After being promoted in Saudi Arabia, he worked on multiple projects, including the development of the Hollow Box and various government applications.
2. What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in?
His strongest skills as frontend development, with experience in using Angular for web platforms and Flutter for mobile applications. He specializes in making platforms modern and responsive, with a focus on improving user interfaces and ensuring smooth functionality
3. Do you have XXXX (Key Criteria 1)? If so can you tell me more?
He handles the development process of IT products using an Agile approach. The critical phase is the first 1-2 weeks, where many meetings are held to align the team, gather all the Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), and prepare user stories and sprint plans. This phase involves ensuring that the product owners, developers, and other stakeholders are aligned before kicking off the actual work. Once the work starts, daily standups and weekly sprint reviews are used to follow up and ensure progress, ensuring that the product is developed incrementally rather than waiting for the full product to be completed.
He has been involved in digital payment projects at Verofax, where QR codes were stored in the blockchain, though he didn't directly work with the blockchain itself. To solidify his knowledge, he took courses in blockchain technology.
To stay updated on trends and changes in the fintech and blockchain industries, he follows various sources like social media platforms and YouTube channels that provide weekly reports on the latest developments.
He has lived in China for five years and holds certifications in Microsoft Azure AI, as well as 14 other industry-related certifications, including a Cisco CCNA certification.
