1. Could you introduce yourself and tell us about you? Your current/recent jobs and employers? Previous companies and jobs?
He has studied in eight different schools, which has helped him develop the ability to work collaboratively with people from diverse backgrounds. He completed his undergraduate degree, where he balanced academics with extracurricular activities, founding multiple student chapters like the IEEE student chapter and serving as Vice President of the Google Developers Group. Under his leadership, the Google Developers Group ranked #1 in India.
After completing his undergraduate studies, he joined a global telecom company as an intern and later worked as a graduate engineer trainee, software engineer, and senior software engineer. At the company, he focused on cloud technologies and software-defined networking solutions, handling product development, testing, and the procurement of networking resources. During the later part of his time there, he transitioned into a product management role, working directly with clients to understand their requirements and lead teams to deliver solutions.
He further enhanced his skills by completing an executive education program in product management and an MBA, where he specialized in strategy, product management, and innovation. He won the Product Innovation Challenge, with seven out of the top ten ideas being his.
Currently, he works as a Senior Product Manager, leading an AI/ML team. In this role, he manages and develops an AI-driven data platform and drives multiple use cases like telecom payment prediction and GenAI-based chatbots. His responsibilities include creating product roadmaps, managing client requirements, driving technical teams through daily stand-up scrums, and collaborating with presales and marketing teams to acquire potential customers.
2. What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in?
He believes his strongest skills lie in the combination of a solid technical background with his business acumen, gained through his MBA and executive education program. As a product manager, he finds that having both technical and business expertise is essential, especially in software, fintech, or similar industries. His ability to understand and drive daily stand-ups, while also bridging the gap between technical and business aspects, is a key strength. He is able to communicate effectively with IT engineers, ensuring they feel confident in discussing technical challenges with him, which builds trust and facilitates smoother collaboration.
In addition to his technical expertise, he also excels at influencing others, particularly his clients and internal team members. His experience in leadership, particularly in managing cross-functional teams, has allowed him to build strong relationships and drive outcomes through effective communication. His technical skills include proficiency in C programming, automation testing, and working in cloud environments.
3. Do you have XXXX (Key Criteria 1)? If so can you tell me more?
He has extensive experience in the fintech sector, particularly in AI-driven use cases related to payments. One notable example is his work on AI-based payment prediction for telecom companies. The issue faced by telecom providers was that many customers were not making their payments on time, leading to financial losses. He implemented a logistic regression-based AI solution that predicted which customers would fail to make payments on time. With this prediction, telecom companies were able to target customers with advertisements and reminder alerts, resulting in a 15-20% increase in timely payments for mobile and telecom bills.
Another payment-related use case he worked on involved predicting how much a customer would add to their mobile wallet. By analyzing this behavior, companies could determine the likelihood of customers spending that money, allowing them to better assess customer engagement and tailor their services accordingly.
To stay updated in the fintech industry, he actively follows multiple fintech apps and maintains a strong network within the industry. Additionally, he completed a four-to-five-month executive program in product management at one of India's top business schools, which enhanced his skills and knowledge in the fintech space. The certification from this program has been highly impactful in his career.
