Interview Assessment Notes
|
1. Could you introduce yourself and tell us about you? Your current/recent jobs and employers? Previous companies and jobs?
She has been working as a Finance and Treasury Manager in Dubai since 2019, seeking financial growth, stability, and diverse professional experiences. Her role primarily focuses on liquidity management, treasury operations, and reconciling cash balances across various accounts, banks, and trading platforms.
Her current responsibilities include managing liquidity to ensure sufficient working capital for daily operations, monitoring and reconciling balances across traditional and fintech banks, and overseeing three trading platforms. Additionally, she prepares reports on coupon maturities, dividends, and discrepancies, addressing any inconsistencies with the respective platforms.
In the trading domain, she actively places trades, monitors inflows and payments, and manages vendor payments, internal transfers, and foreign exchange transactions. Her role involves optimizing foreign exchange rates by negotiating with banks to minimize currency losses, particularly for intercompany settlements involving multiple currencies, including GBP and exotic currencies.
Prior to her current position, she worked at a global financial institution in the Philippines, where she gained extensive experience in trade reconciliation and reporting. Her strong background in finance, treasury management, and trading allows her to ensure seamless operations and financial efficiency in her current role.
2. What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in?
She specializes in process improvement, focusing on managing and resolving issues, streamlining operations, and implementing solutions to enhance workflows and efficiency. Her strength lies in her solution-focused approach to addressing challenges and optimizing processes within financial and treasury operations.
3. Do you have XXXX (Key Criteria 1)? If so can you tell me more?
She has hands-on experience with placing trades and managing trading operations. She describes her role as closely related to that of a relationship manager, as she is directly involved in communicating with external stakeholders, such as platform representatives, to address discrepancies and manage requests.
She has direct access to multiple trading platforms and portals, which allow her to upload and download reports, handle settlements, and reconcile accounts. Through these platforms, she actively monitors client valuations, cash balances, and corporate actions, ensuring that any discrepancies are clarified and resolved efficiently.
Her experience also extends to working with high-net-worth and other clients for insurance-related services, ensuring compliance with KYC and other regulatory requirements.
When asked about the trading platforms she has used, she explained that while she has managed trades through specific systems, her role does not involve direct buying or selling in retail-style trading platforms. Instead, her focus is on managing institutional-level trading operations and ensuring smooth processes within the company's trading infrastructure.
