He began his career specializing in localization, where he was recognized as a top-ranked translator in seven language pairs, including Mandarin to English, German to English, French to English, Spanish to English, and Dutch to English. By the end of his localization career in 2017, he was ranked as the number three translator worldwide for Mandarin to English. His localization expertise was primarily in the software field, and he had developed a strong understanding of technical topics, including blockchain and cryptocurrency, through independent study. In 2017, while living in China, he was approached by a Beijing-based company to explain blockchain technology and recommend investment opportunities. This led to his involvement in designing and developing a cryptocurrency and its surrounding software ecosystem, including Android, iOS, and PC wallets. He was among the first to incorporate biometric verification into cryptocurrency platforms, prioritizing convenience over privacy to cater to the local market's preferences. Additionally, he built a public ledger system with live transaction animations, collaborating with development teams in Hefei province and Beijing.
Following this, he received full-time job offers from crypto platforms and Web3 startups in Southeast Asia and China. He took on roles such as social media manager, translator, writer, and PR manager, bridging communication with Western entities. Eventually, he became a department manager at Bitget, a leading crypto exchange in Southeast Asia, where he continued to expand his expertise in blockchain technology and management.
2. What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in?
He describes his strongest skills as communication and software development. He excels at conveying complex ideas in an understandable way, a skill honed through his work in localization, PR, and social media management. In software development, he has hands-on experience designing and managing projects, including developing cryptocurrency ecosystems, wallets, and public ledgers. His ability to bridge technical and non-technical aspects makes him highly versatile and effective in collaborative environments.
3. Do you have XXXX (Key Criteria 1)? If so can you tell me more?
He has been working in the cryptocurrency and blockchain industries since 2017, demonstrating significant experience in these fields. He has a strong background in software development, having designed and developed cryptocurrency ecosystems, wallets, and public ledger systems. With over 3 years of experience in IT product management, especially within the blockchain and fintech sectors, he has managed development teams and handled product delivery. He is fluent in multiple languages, including English, Mandarin, Dutch, German, French, Japanese, African languages, and Spanish, which enhances his ability to work in diverse, international environments. His fluency in Mandarin is a key asset, meeting the requirement for Chinese language proficiency.
