- Joined XXXX in the ESG department, responsible for making sense of ESG data sets. Before he joined the company, ESG data was very basic- primarily just screenshots of charts, and not very interactive. Very dull and not very inspiring. He worked with tools, Python and ETL to make analytics and more user-friendly applications, enabling different combinations to show the user what what was really going on with new visuals such as heatmaps.
- Able to also enhance the products which ended being launched internally and externally. For example, internally a researched based geo-spacial analysis was released for ESG trends overall, such as using supply chain data to show if a company was importing and exporting too much corn, and presented in a visually interesting way.
- Is quite hands-on individual role, with no direct team. Indirectly, is managaing different stakeholders internally such as Fitch Managing Directors, and also running scrums for projects with other team members reporting to him.
- Previously at S&P, with working in Scrum projects as the data expert, working in different domains but especially Banking, Insurance, ESG, Corporates.
- Has used NLP a little in his current job, such as extracting data from an Oil Gas company and putting them into the correct metrics.
- Didn’t use AI as much in the recent jobs. But did use recently in during his Masters in 2019, in XXXX methods and Bayesian Approach to Statistical Inference.
