Accounting, FP&A, SAP, IT Processes, Finance, Banking, IT Industry, Founder and Managing Director
Could you introduce yourself and tell us about you? Your current / recent jobs and employers? Previous companies and jobs? He has over 20 years of experience in the industry, starting in finance and consultancy before moving into XXXX and later into project roles. He helped roll out SAP within Shell, which strengthened his interest in project management. From there, he shifted from permanent roles to independent consultancy across the UK, Netherlands, and Germany. He also completed an Executive Master of Finance and Control, giving him a strong foundation in budgeting, forecasting, and FP&A. He has worked across Europe and with stakeholders in Asia, handling both finance and project responsibilities. He is comfortable working with senior leaders in multinational companies and has experience in accounting, FP&A, IT processes, and process improvement. His work also includes offshoring operations to the Philippines and India, covering areas from AP/AR to group reporting, regulatory work, and management information. What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in? His strongest skill is communication, especially understanding issues and making them clear for stakeholders. He’s good at managing expectations in projects — explaining where things are headed, what’s needed, and what challenges exist. He knows how to align messages for C-level leaders, whether it’s a short summary, a board pack, or a project update. He can switch between roles easily, from business analysis to tech, project, and change work, and even support the run/operations side because of his past experience with monthly close, accruals, reporting, and coordination with HQ. Because of this flexibility, he’s often placed in “in-between” roles. Senior managers trust him with different types of projects — process management, system integration, offshoring, audit work, cost efficiency, or even IPO-related tasks — knowing he can set up the framework and move it forward.
