Project Manager

1. Could you introduce yourself and tell us about you? Your current / recent jobs and employers? Previous companies and jobs? She has about 8 years of experience in project management and is currently with XXXX as a Project & Programme Manager, focused with consultancy capacity and supporting delivery of S/4HANA projects. A lot of her background in project management has been around tech, IT, and implementation of different system solutions. She has a variety of experience in different sectors as well including the public sector, financial services, and tech; majority of her positions has always been in IT and delivery of SaaS solutions. Her main responsibilities here would be tracking of projects since she’s currently leading about 3 projects at the moment; on a daily basis, she’s just keeping on top of their projects, following up with key stakeholders on actions that have been assigned to them, ensuring they are in line with the plan, and be able to manage deviations ahead of time. Outside of that, she is also involved in regular project meetings, user acceptance testing, and coordination of software development updates onto S/4HANA and just the management of their feature request process. Prior to this, she worked with XXXX as a Project Manager and her main responsibility there was focused on the delivery of tech systems, mostly supporting traders of the company, making sure they stay compliant with FCA regulations. She also was a Project Manager for XXXX where it was more of a client-facing role, ensuring successful delivery of their solutions which was GEMS (Global Management Services) platform. In summary, bulk of her experience comes from the delivery of tech solutions. 2. What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in? Strongest skill would be communication with clients and just ensuring that she is building a strong relationship with them. She considers it as one of the core aspects of project management, also ensuring that all things are going according to the plan created. Also, she’s good handling deviations, communicating it effectively with the client and project team, as well as senior stakeholders. One of her biggest achievements is in her current role; when she onboarded them, they don’t have a streamlined feature requests and bug process, so herself and her team worked on that over the last few years to ensure that bugs and requests are being picked up and worked on, on time.

1. Could you introduce yourself and tell us about you? Your current / recent jobs and employers? Previous companies and jobs? He’s a graduate of the XXXX and the XXXX. He has a very significant amount of experience in leadership, operational management, and project management, both within tech sectors, healthcare, medical, and even humanitarian sector. On the tech side of things, he has experience with telecommunications and blockchain startup, where he was involved in project management for the entire spectrum of their operations, ranging from social media, marketing, and film production for marketing purposes, all the way up to product development, management, and worked very closely with the senior leadership. Given that, he is fully aware of the kind of challenges of project management within the tech environment and skilled at working with stakeholders across various departments ranging from the C-suite to the development teams, software engineering, product management, and even marketing, human resources. During his time with XXXX, he was responsible for working directly with the marketing team, visual and graphic designers, and senior leadership of the company to make sure they were happy with their assets and quality; he was also involved in coordinating fil production and shoots to demonstrate the technical applications of the systems they were developing. He was working a lot with the engineering team, giving and taking feedbacks from them which he shares with other stakeholders. His career has been 20% being involved in the technical and development side of things and about 80% in the guiding, operation management of the technical teams. In addition to that, he has a lot of experience working in the emergency medical sector for the past 3+ years, organizing emergency medical treatment and medical evacuations of children from the Middle East to various countries around the world, ranging from the United States to Spain. Although his current role is not directly related to the tech sector, a part of it had tech-related involvement since he was heavily involved in building and developing websites as a non-technical project manager. 2. What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in? Strongest skill would be bringing teams and stakeholders together to achieve an objective against the odds whilst keeping teams together, exceeding expectations, and maintaining a very good level of harmony throughout the teams. Apart from that, he has demonstrated high levels of organization, strong leadership abilities, good organizational skills, and communication skills. During his time with XXXX, they were able to launch free websites at very short notice to meet the requirements of their senior leadership. He played a central role in that process and he was really proud since it came together much faster than expected, about 6 weeks in total.

He is coming from a Software background and is a COBOL Developer; later on, he moved to project management using Waterfall and Agile, Scrum as well. He has worked in different roles in multiple organizations for the past 15 years, including products from the banking, telecommunication, insurance, and even government. Most of his roles and responsibility include end-to-end project delivery, project management, release train engineering, and so on. His last role was with XXXX as a Scrum Master/AC/RTE, the organization was controlled by the central government, and what they do are high-level plans for the citizens of Auckland; he was involved with small projects like noise control mobile application for local neighborhood to use, a dam-related application/project to help make precautionary way for citizens if anything happens to their dams, and a another one was for an animal RFID tag for benefit of pet owners. Since he was the Scrum Master that time, he handled two teams: community and implementation team; his specific tasks back then includes facilitating all scrum events, backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and more. Before this, he was with XXXX as a Scrum Master where they did product development for both web and mobile applications using Agile and Lean frameworks. He was having five different teams back then: two from offshore, one from TCS, and two more supporting the waterfront at the time. He used to collaborate with different time zones back then and was responsible for the whole delivery. 2. What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in? Strongest skill would be project management or being a Scrum Master since he considers himself good with understanding the scope, what needs to be delivered, what are the resources needed, how it’s going to be planned, how many members will it take to finish the project, and so on. Second thing would be team building, he’s good with making sure he works efficiently with different teams in multiple organization; also knows how to build a team with transparency and adaptation between team members. Lastly, he thinks one of his biggest strength would be time management and being able to delivery projects/products just in time; he’s good with planning his tasks and responsibilities as well. He has been working with different industries and niche including government, telecommunication, insurance, banking, and more; he can join any industry in the market.
