1. Could you introduce yourself and tell us about you? Your current / recent jobs and employers? Previous companies and jobs?
She’s currently a Technical Manager, Data Management for XXXX where she’s mainly focused on the data catalog that they have built; on a daily basis, she’s involved with collecting data, ensuring they are catalogued/listed to make everyone aware of different data and information. They have two parts of data catalog: business glossary and data dictionary, which they connected to multiple data resources at Jockey Club. She’s also part of the data quality team where they look at data quality dashboard and ensure everything is aligned and is within the criteria they have set. Prior to this, she was with XXXX as a Sr. Technical Writer, their product there was a payment gateway, and since they didn’t have a technical writer, she was the one who set up the documentation process, templates, standards, and such. She also worked with XXXX, which is a telco company, as a Sr. Technical Writer; her role there was more of BAU, she took over some of the documentation part as well. She started her career XXXX as a Business Analyst/Sr. Requirements Analyst.
2. What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in?
Strongest skills would be writing and eliciting information from other people, build information and ask for the right questions to get additional insights. In terms of tools, she’s good with data cataloging and metadata management tools, BA and documentation such as Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Office Suite, and more.
3. Do you have the lists of key criteria’s according to the clients’ requirements?
Has more than 13 years of experience as a senior technical writer and about 5+ years of managerial experience as well. During her time with XXXX, she worked mostly on hardware and telco-related products so she’s familiar on creating user guides/manuals, installation guides, technical specifications, and such. Coming from a Computer Engineering major, she’s comfortable to work with heavy machineries, engineering, and consumer-based products. Has used Adobe InDesign and has minimal experience with XML documentation as well.
