1. Could you introduce yourself and tell us about you? Your current / recent jobs and employers? Previous companies and jobs?
He has been working for the past 10 years and has been to diverse teams in different industries including banking, semiconductor, travel/hotel agencies, technology/media, and insurance company as well. He’s currently with XXXX as a QA Lead where he manages around 5 QAs for technology and media-related projects such as TV Apps and news-related websites. Before this, he was with XXXX where he developed a BDD framework based off Behave (Python) and integrated the framework on GitHub Actions as well; he handled insurance-related projects during that time. He was also a QA Automation Lead for XXXX where he led a team of 8 engineers in developing test automation suite for the company itself; he started in that company as a Senior QA Automation Engineer where he himself was involved in the development and maintenance of test automation frameworks. All of his roles prior to that are also related to QA and Testing for different industries and companies.
2. What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in?
Strongest skill would be his diverse knowledge on technologies and overall experience with different software development teams, setups, and such. In terms of tools and frameworks, he’s pretty familiar with the typical tech stack for DevOps: AWS, Azure, Jenkins, Gitlab, and others. On a methodology or environment, he has usually worked within waterfall or the traditional SDLC from his current and previous companies. Rates himself a 5 out of 5 in manual testing and about 4 out of 5 in automation.
3. Do you have the lists of key criteria’s according to the clients’ requirements?
He has been doing automation testing for about 6-7 years now and has about 2 years of experience within banking and financial industry; he handled a corporate internet banking before which is more of a B2B and handled some B2C type of minor projects as well. He was involved in different types of SDLC methodologies including Agile, Waterfall, and some V models. He is familiar with banking regulatory and compliance standards, not on the smallest details, but he is familiar with it. Good with automation tools including Selenium, TestNG, Jenkins, and more.
