1. Could you introduce yourself and tell us about you? Your current / recent jobs and employers? Previous companies and jobs?
He has been doing QA Testing for about 12 years now; all in manual testing and also 4 years in automation testing. He has been exposed in various applications like telecommunications, insurance, shipping management, academics, and other SaaS solutions. He’s current role is with XXXX as a QA Automation Engineer where he is heavily focused on automation and improvement of test processes by implementing or teaching all of the malware queues’ test process currently used in the organization or industry in general. He’s also closely working with product owners, manual QAs, to ensure that all of the test manual cases are converted into automated ones. Before this, he was with XXXX as a Quality Assurance Engineer where he handled a chartering & operating project as well as fixtures and sales-related one. He performed functional and regression testing during that time and uses JMeter, Postman, Cypress, TestRail, and many more tools. He had several roles prior to this including Software Quality Analyst for XXXX, Senior QA Tester for XXXX, Senior QA Analyst for XXXX, Senior Test Analyst for XXXX, and others which are all contractual roles.
2. What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in?
Strongest skill would be automation testing, aside from manual testing, since he has been more driven in this area recently. He’s in the process of continuous learning by watching tutorials and staying updated on the latest trends in the automation industry. He has experience and knowledge with different tools such as Selenium, Catalon, Playwright, and many more. Rates himself a 5 out of 5 in manual testing and about 3-4 out of 5 in automation since he’s still improving and learning.
3. Do you have the lists of key criteria’s according to the clients’ requirements?
He has about 4 years of experience now in the automation testing side and has been exposed to the financial services (insurance, payment) side for more than a year. Well-versed with Java, Selenium, has used TestNG once, is knowledgeable with Agile, Scrum, and Kanban methodologies.
