He’s been working in XXX telecom for almost 12 years now and his roles has been changing for quite some time now and been shifting many roles throughout his career in the telecommunications industry. His current role is a technical field engineer and handling microwave systems and at the same time, he is also responsible for handling DWDM systems for the fiver-optic backbone in XXX telecom. For the past 12 years he has acquired a lot of experiences for troubleshooting and for maintaining these network elements and to ensure the 100% operability 24/7. His job is to ensure that the health check is being done every now and then to ensure the reliability of the network. - What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in?
He is strong when it comes to software handling and access of all the equipment’s and well verse also in handling different kind of equipment’s like Huawei, Nokia, and Infinera. In the troubleshooting side, he is also good because he has to maintain the service level agreements when an outrage occurred, they need to have it restored for less than 24 hours. He said that his work is always a race against time, so they need to resolve the issue immediately. He also said that he is a good team player and since all his roles needs to have a coordination with the groups or other people. - Do you have the lists of key criteria’s according to the clients requirements?
With DWDM skills and rate this 4 out of 5 because it needs to have also a space for improvements and said also that he has 12 years of experience for it. With experience in dealing with the customers and vendors as well and rates his skills 3.5 to 4 out of 5. With minimal experience in NOC. He also has a certification for Huawei but its 5 years ago and took trainings for Infinera and Nokia.
