1. Could you introduce yourself and tell us about you? Your current / recent jobs and employers? Previous companies and jobs?
He is currently a Lead for Data and AI projects, and is working on three machine learning projects: first one is a pricing model that predicts price for items, second one is for converting data into SQL using AI, and the third one is a marketing tech solution for automating marketing campaign and customer profile generator. On a daily basis, he spends about 60-70% of the time in coding and development, about 30-40% for documentation and communication/coordination with different stakeholders. He also gets requirement from business and convert it into code-level and help them drive the business.
Before this, he was with XXXX as a Lead Data and AI Engineer where he was involved more in the data side; he was first building various data models such as sales, customer model, logistic data model, supplier data models, marketing data models, and more. He also built some data-related products, leverages the use of API, CI/CD, containerization, infra setups, monitoring, and cloud deployment.
2. What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in?
Strongest skill would be within the area of data and AI since he has been in this space for the last 6 years. He has proficiency when it comes to Python programming, machine learning, and is continuously learning this area. He has strong exposure within the retail and logistics domain but is flexible to any other industries available in the market including banking, finance, and ecommerce.
3. Do you have the lists of key criteria’s according to the clients’ requirements?
He has around 5-6 years of experience in AI/ML engineering space, strong exposure with major retail companies in Singapore. Uses Python on a regular basis, together with Go, Java, and other tools such as Kubernetes, Docker, DevOps, and such. He has also been involved with MLOps and deployed machine learning models. Also uses Airflow in current role for orchestration and scheduling.
