    He has 10+ years of experience in the fintech and payments industry. He studied Business at a university in Belgium and started his career at Deloitte, where he spent two years working on data management projects for insurance companies. After that, he co-founded and ran a restaurant for two years, then decided to return to the corporate world to learn something new. He then joined XXXX, an American fintech company, where he worked for about four and a half years as a Business Analyst in the project management team. This was his first hands-on experience with corporate payments, working on solutions that connect ERP systems to banks to manage inbound and outbound payments, reporting, payment flows, formats, account statements, and cash management tools. He later moved to Worldline, a major European payment service provider, where he worked as a Project Manager on a collecting solution that simplified payment methods, contracts, reporting, and payouts for merchants, including marketplace businesses. Most recently, he has been working as a freelance Project Manager at XXXX, focusing on a pre-validation API product that checks payment data and verifies beneficiary accounts to reduce errors and fraud, a solution now widely used by banks across Europe.
  2. What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in?
    One of his biggest achievements was during his time at FIS, where he led a project around XXXX’s Global Payment Initiative (GPI). This initiative made cross-border payments transparent, allowing corporate treasurers to track payments in real time, similar to tracking a delivery, and see where fees were deducted. Before this, cross-border payments were mostly a black box. He took the lead in working closely with XXXX and two key clients, XXXX and XXXX Company, who joined the pilot. He helped prototype the solution, tested it with clients, and later led the effort to fully develop and industrialize the feature. This made XXXX one of the first fintechs on the corporate side to offer XXXX GPI, bringing strong market attention. For about a year, he became the internal point person for everything related to XXXX  GPI, supporting clients, attending conferences, and representing the product externally.
