He has over seven years of experience in the insurance industry, holding a bachelor’s degree in business from a well-known business school in Belgium and a master’s in actuarial science. He began his career as an actuarial analyst at a leading Belgian insurance company, working on IFRS 17 and IFRS 9 projects to assess and manage the impact of new standards on insurance portfolio evaluations. He also contributed as a business analyst and project manager, overseeing transitions that affected multiple departments, including sales, IT, and finance. He later joined the holding company, continuing work on IFRS projects before moving into a business performance manager role. In this capacity, he analyzed group profitability, supported strategic decisions, and helped define strategies for various entities. In a subsequent role, he focused on product portfolio analysis, using data to optimize decision-making processes. He is now exploring international opportunities, particularly in the Emirates.
- What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in?
His core expertise lies in working with large volumes of data to conduct analyses, similar to a data analyst role, where data is used to guide decisions for the company or group. He is confident in using tools such as Python, Excel, and SQL, and remains open to exploring other areas beyond his main expertise. This flexibility also supports opportunities to work internationally. In addition to his analytical background, he has gained sales experience from working at XXXX, where he held a financial sales role. This allowed him to develop skills in client engagement and business development alongside his data-focused capabilities.
