Interview Assessment Notes

  1. Worked first as sales assistant, then as a sales expert then promoted to overseas sales manager for a trading company. In her two years mainly involved with B2B sales for industrial equipment and spare parts as well as EPC products.
  2. Her work was divided into two parts, every year she spends several months in their overseas office. In China HQ her role is responsible for export documents and progress control, client relationship management and their maintenance.
  3. In their overseas office, she is responsible for Marketing research, contract negotiation, project coordination and developing new clients overseas. She worked on marketing strategies for solar power plants in the Middle East.
  4. For B2B experience, their clients were mostly government companies in the Middle East such as those in the steel making industry. The sales she was doing were mostly B2B sales, having to get in touch with the companies instead of individuals.
  5. She believes she has a business development mindset; she has experience developing relationships with South West Asia clients overseas and locally, She thinks her outgoing personality and language skills are an asset to client management. She also has some knowledge in PRC programming.
