1. Could you introduce yourself and tell us about you? Your current / recent jobs and employers? Previous companies and jobs?
He is currently a Senior Sales Director at XXXX, an Audio Technology firm, but initially joined as a Marketing Director last 2019. He helped build the company from zero revenue to over 100M RMB in annual technology licensing revenue by 2025, with about 75% from the global automotive revenue. He takes the lead on the automotive business unit, managing three senior sales managers, aligning strategy with the global headquarters, and so on. He developed a proven and replicable China commercial playbook including sales methodology, CRM-driven pipeline management, KPI frameworks, and partner ecosystem development. On a daily basis, he drives the China Automotive business across the target OEMs and tier-ones; he works closely with different teams such as sales, developers, marketing, and such. Aside from these, he is responsible for monitoring sales pipelines, mentoring teams, leading sales targets, and understand the market dynamics to give feedback to the headquarters later on.
All his past experiences are focused on the audio industry as well, working with multinational and leading audio technology companies including XXXX, XXXX, and more. His experience spans from consumer and professional segments, across the automotive, mobile, PC, TV, HiFi, streaming ecosystem, and more.
2. What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in?
Strongest skill would be his strategic ability and vision for the audio industry; he has in-depth understanding of the market trend together with the audio technology ecosystem in general. Apart from that, he considers himself a strong leader and has took a lot of business forward, faced loss challenges and blockers, understand deals and negotiations, decision-making, and how to make success in the competitive market going forward.
He considers his biggest sales achievement to be the contribution he made in his current company, growing their revenue from zero to 100M RMB in licensing revenue within the automotive business, in about 5 years. He handled a previous sales, with about five-year product lifecycle, of about 100M RMB of software licensing revenue.
3. Do you have the lists of key criteria’s according to the clients’ requirements?
He has about 6 years of experience in doing pure sales, switched from marketing role to sales role last 2020, so he already has overlaps in doing sales activities; he has always been involved with recruitment decision, product strategic decision, and adding value to their customers, mostly OEMs and tier-one businesses. Right now, he’s handling more of software licensing product for the automotive businesses, has established strategic partnerships with tier-one audio suppliers such as Harman, Sonavox, AAC, and more; he also has experience with physical/hardware audio products spanning from home theatre, PC, TV, HiFi, and other premium audio products. He is experienced with both B2B and B2C models both for consumer and professional segments; covering mainly China as of the moment, has built the playbook there, but can be responsible for the whole APAC as well. Right now, he is managing a team of 3 in China, consisting of two senior sales managers focusing on B2B Automotive Sales and one B2C Sales Manager on the eCommerce business.
