1. Could you introduce yourself and tell us about you? Your current / recent jobs and employers? Previous companies and jobs?
He is currently based in Shenzhen but is originally from Florida; he studied there and did some internships abroad in China. He’s always been technical sales-oriented especially in his last role with XXXX as an International Business Development Manager; he handled products there related to warehouse, logistics, robotics such as AMRs, AGVs, and automatic forklifts. They usually have to visit on-site or look at some floor plans of the warehouse to put together a proposal of the whole robotic system that would meet their needs and requirements. He also joined lots of robotic shows and exhibitions during this time, either domestically in China or abroad, mainly Europe, where he acquired lots of experience and knowledge with AI vision. Their largest customer before was P&G, he would frequently go down to Vietnam for project implementations and they had an after-sales service provider there working on AI visions for golf clubs and other manufacturers. Before this, he was with XXXX as a Sales Representative, where he focused more on intelligent furniture components and drove growth and revenue targets despite the market challenge during the pandemic. Prior to this, he was with XXXX acting as a Sales Consultant for a couple of Chinese companies covering a range of different types of intelligent furniture components, motors, and related mechanisms. In summary, all of his jobs are strongly technical, especially on the electrical and mechanical side.
2. What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in?
Strongest skills would be doing technical sales since he has been doing that for many years now. Apart from that, he has strong experience and passion in the operation side so he can help setup and grow the Shenzhen office for this role if given the chance. He also approach everything with an entrepreneurial spirit, put lots of attention and focus in everything that he does, as if it is his own company that he’s working for. In his last role with XXXX, he has brought a couple of accounts and has acquired about 1.15M USD and previously, he maintained current accounts of around 13M USD and brought an additional 2M USD on top of it which he believes is a big achievement because it was the COVID pandemic during that time and businesses were really tight.
3. Do you have the lists of key criteria’s according to the clients’ requirements?
He has more than 10 years of experience in doing technical sales and business development; has experience with operations and can help build/expand the Shenzhen office if needed. Also has consultative selling experience in his last role, mainly for industrial automation area. He has great understanding of AI vision systems, has touched defect detection as well, and has bit of experience in the logistics industry. On the other hand, he has great experience with the quality industry especially when he was working for the furniture components company, he consulted some quality inspections, reworks of products, and such. He speaks Mandarin pretty good as well for a foreigner, needs to brush up some technical words though but he can do business Mandarin quite well.
