He has over 20 years of experience in the IT industry, having started in a two-person startup where he worked directly with the founder. Over time, the company, headquartered in Hong Kong, expanded to three branch offices in mainland China with around 50 employees. Initially, he managed all IT infrastructure and later delegated some IT administration tasks while continuing to oversee operations. The company specialized in media integration, providing customized multimedia solutions through teams of designers, engineers, and project managers. As the company grew, he transitioned from engineering, where he worked on full-stack multimedia development, to project management while still overseeing IT infrastructure. After a decade, he was promoted to Chief Technical Officer, focusing on streamlining business operations and adapting new technologies. Despite his CTO role, he remained involved in project oversight due to the company’s size. His primary focus was IT governance, working closely with the founder and HR and finance managers to optimize workflows, standardize procedures, and align operations with business goals. - What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in?
His strongest skills currently in IT, and digitalization. He has experience customizing internal processes to align with business and institutional needs. Additionally, he has a background in project management. - Do you have the lists of key criteria’s according to the clients’ requirements?
He has experience managing hybrid server configurations, including Windows and Linux servers. He has designed and maintained the entire network topology of his office, along with configuring servers for branch offices and managing VPN connections across locations. His expertise extends to DNS servers, firewalls, and overall server configurations, handling them personally. He holds a CCNA certification and is proficient in supporting Windows servers, which have been in use since the beginning. Most desktop clients run on Windows and Mac, with some using Ubuntu. Additionally, he has experience supporting various operating systems and working with embedded devices, which, while not directly connected, share similarities in functionality. He has also tested multiple project management tools though it was not selected for daily operations.
