1. Could you introduce yourself and tell us about you? Your current / recent jobs and employers? Previous companies and jobs?
He recently just started a new role but previously, he was with XXXX as a Senior Sales Manager where he was responsible for both smartphone products and audio products ie. speakers, headphones, earphones, and more. Although his role was sales, he also handled some stuff such as marketing, channel management, and worked directly with his Channel Manager within the Hong Kong and Singapore market; he assisted a few times within China, Korea, and Taiwan markets as well. On top of these, he helped them organize/launch events in the market, create new demands or opportunities for the company, and also constantly worked on different kind of channel including Fortress, CSL, and other distributors. Since he was also involved with product marketing stuff, he also reworked on their go-to-market plan for Hong Kong and Singapore market. Day-to-day basis, he was monitoring the daily sales data and really understand the market situation; on a weekly basis, he needed to analyse market trends, plan special promotions for other products, and collaborated with different teams depending on the needs.
Previously, he had roles from XXXX and XXXX focused on the marketing side of things including product positioning, pricing, and more. He also worked with XXXX as an Assistant Commercial Analytic Manager where he handled data analytics, mostly for restaurants in airport, and such.
2. What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in?
Strongest skill would be his relationship with different kind of distributors and channel partners in the market since he has been in this space for almost 10 years; he has established a strong network already in different regions especially Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, Korea, and more. Aside from that, he’s strong with marketing and commercial analysis, considers himself proficient with numbers.
As part of his achievements, he has helped his team climb the top 5 market share within the whole company for the markets they were covering: Hong Kong and Singapore. Since more than half of his previous role was B2C, he has sold about 1.5K in quantity of smartphones (average amount of 4K HKD per unit) and about 2K+ in quantity of audio products (average of 1.2K HKD per product) in just one month.
3. Do you have the lists of key criteria’s according to the clients’ requirements?
He has about 8-9 years of accumulated experience now in doing sales, targeting KPIs, and doing marketing stuff; has been in the audio industry for the same number of years, mainly focusing on consumer and electronic audio products ie. speakers, headphones, earphones, amplifiers, and more. His experience spans across product-based sales and account management basis, has a fair share of experience in both B2B and B2C as well.
Since he has been in the audio industry for almost 10 years, he has great insight of market dynamics and trends; covers mainly Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, together with Korea and China as his secondary expertise.
